Area Manager – PT DNX Indonesia

The company is part of a large multinational organisation that has a successful history of over fifteen years operating in Indonesia.
AREA MANAGER
Purpose:
Provide routine and general accounting service to the company according to company business objectives and general accounting practices. Perform and/or assist Tax matters to comply with the regulation and recommendation to practical conditions. The position has functional accountability for Finance and Accounting and will provide decision support to the business.
Job Accountabilities:
- Manage the operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company in the areas of safety, environment, quality assurance, reliability and cost within the terms of the contract and scope of operation with the aim of achieving Operational Excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable DNAP HSEQ Performance Standards, Objectives as well as acts and regulations as identified in the DNAP Legal Database.
- Liaise with senior management on the establishment and attainment of budgets, schedules and overall target objectives.
- Work with supply department to ensure security and supply of raw materials at minimum cost. Management of operating expenditure to beat current year’s budget on a cost per tonne basis.
- Actively promote the company’s vision and values
- To act autonomously, within the constraints of Dyno Nobel’s guidelines, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements, in the areas of health, safety and environment and quality systems
Requirements:
- Education: Engineer or five years supervisory experience in the explosives/mining industry
- Experience with the manufacture of emulsion matrix, bulk truck delivery and on bench blasting operations
- Good Communication skills (English)
- Passionate, results driven approach with track record of overachieving
